Just visited your wonderful web page. I have a few comments on Elizabeth Clare Profit. I live about 60 miles north of her church. She makes the local newspaper from time to time.

The Church Universal and Triumphant (CUT, or the cult, as it referred to here) is in shambles. After Doomsday didn't come, the members started leaving in droves. I have seen ads in the local papers selling bomb shelters with 7 years of food for cut-rate prices. The smaller CUT communities in Paradise Valley are now accepting non-church members. It seems that lots of real estate is for sale. The US Forest Service is in negotiation to buy CUT land as an extension for Yellowstone Park. This land will be used for bison and elk migration. Profit has stepped down as leader of the church for medical problems. Last year a new business manager was brought in to try and save the church. Since then, assets are being sold and people are being laid off at church businesses to meet their restricted income. A few weeks ago the financial manager of the church stepped down. There is even talk in the local papers that CUT will relocate its headquarters to L.A. And, as an interesting note, we have a support group in town for ex cult members!

From my point of view, the church church gathered its members through fear. With its fear based religion ( the world is gonna end), it attracted members who are fearful of life. These people don't have a life and don't want to make decisions for themselves, so they turn there life decisions over to another. And boy did the church make money off these sheep. The church had an operating income of 14 million a year. Another win for New Age, Inc.
